TNB board approves 2-year extension for Razak as chairman

The extension will take effect from March 27, 2025, to March 26, 2027.

Tenaga Nasional Bhd’s (TNB) board of directors has approved the two-year extension of Abdul Razak Abdul Majid’s tenure as its non-independent non-executive chairman.

Bernama reported TNB as saying in a filing with Bursa Malaysia that the extension will take effect from March 27, 2025, to March 26, 2027.

Razak was first appointed as TNB chairman on March 27, 2023.

Throughout his career with TNB, he has contributed to planning, construction and operations across the company’s three core divisions of generation, transmission and distribution.

He was seconded to the economic planning unit of the Prime Minister’s Department from 1998 to 2001.

Razak holds a master’s degree in business administration from Ohio University in the US.
