WASHINGTON:
US House Democrats have introduced a resolution to impeach president Donald Trump under 13 articles for “high crimes and misdemeanours”.

The document accuses Trump of initiating wars and murders, committing war crimes and piracy on the high seas, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.

“Trump has unconstitutionally initiated war as a belligerent or co-belligerent against Iran, Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, Nigeria, and Gaza. He has threatened military force against Panama, Colombia, Cuba, and Greenland. In all of these endeavours, President Trump has acted without constitutionally required congressional authorisation,” the resolution says.

The Democrats also accuse the president of militarising domestic law enforcement, serial unconstitutional detentions and deportations, retaliation against constitutionally protected speech or association, sabotaging the rule of law, and other crimes.
