KUALA LUMPUR: Rising Malaysian Moto3 rider Hakim Danish Ramli created a sensation by finishing third at the Italian Grand Prix at the Mugello Circuit earlier today.
The 18-year-old rider, who started from pole position, remained consistently among the front runners during the opening five laps.
However, he dropped into the middle group along the longest straight at the Italian GP.
Hakim Danish nevertheless managed to secure third place after overtaking several riders before the final corner, earning a podium finish in the prestigious race.
The achievement marked Hakim Danish’s first podium finish after seven races this season.
