Boxer-1

SEA Games vet Lee Ai Jin beat her Singaporean opponent and fellow SEA Games vet Fasha at Boxing Evolution Grand with a decision victory recently.

The event, held on 19th March at The Pavilion Far East Square, Singapore, was organized by Fight Pro-Motion and featured 11 bouts between local Singaporean fighters and some regional opponents.

Ai Jin won on all the judges’ scorecards to earn a unanimous decision victory in the amateur rules match – which makes it hard for the fighter to earn a KO as headgear and heavier gloves are used. Fasha, fresh off a winning bout in Hong Kong, was also a more than adequate challenge to boot. Nonetheless, Ai Jin goes home proud with a victory under her belt – and another scalp for her trainer, Jonathon Clemons of Monarchy MMA.

Boxer-2

Ai Jin is Malaysia’s first competitive female boxer, and competed in various regional tournaments as the Malaysian representative in the women’s flyweight (48kg) category. Among her accolades are:

  • Golden Glove Champion (Malaysia) 2013
  • Malaysia Cup Champion 2013-2014
  • Revolution Championship Singapore Gold Medalist 2014
  • Sijori Cup Champion 2015
  • Indonesia Pride of Nation Champion 2015
  • Boxing Evolution Gold Medalist 2016
