Four years after the destruction of an ill-fated Jurassic World theme park, Owen and Claire (Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard) return to Isla Nublar.
Accompanying them is a team of scientists and specialists, on a mission to rescue the remaining dinosaurs threatened by an imminent volcanic eruption.
Justice Smith, James Cromwell, Ted Levine, Geraldine Chaplin, Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall and Isabella Sermon join Pratt and Dallas Howard in the movie.
This new film also marks the franchise return of Jeff Goldblum.
He played Dr. Ian Malcom in first film “Jurassic Park” and its 1997 sequel “The Lost World.”
The new movie’s tagline, “life finds a way,” refers back to one of Malcom’s key lines in the first “Jurassic Park.”
Released in 2015, “Jurassic World” brought in $1.67 billion USD worldwide.
Thanks to monetary inflation, that haul means it is currently the fourth highest-grossing theatrical release of all time, behind a $2bn “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and James Cameron’s “Titanic” ($2.1bn) and “Avatar” ($2.7bn.)
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is set for a June 22, 2018 release in US theaters after an international debut earlier the same month.
