There are several ways to get to Taipei from Taoyuan Airport. You can take a taxi, the public bus, charter a van or the MRT.

After you land, getting from the airport to Taipei is easy.

As your flight to Taipei prepares to touch down at Taoyuan Airport, the plane will approach the shores of Taiwan.

You will be amazed to see how pretty Taiwan is, with many windmills lining the shore. It is a spectacular view.

As you walk out from the flight and look around Taoyuan International Airport, it seems like a small airport.

Although the design is not modern, it is still pretty as Taiwanese traditional designs are incorporated into its architecture.

After clearing immigration and customs, most travelers go to the Unilite Traveller kiosk where they have pre-booked phone simcards and an Easycard via the Klook app.

After collecting the cards walk to the Taoyuan Airport MRT station. It is quite a walk but it is underground and air-conditioned so your walk will be comfortable.

The cheapest and easiest way to get to Taipei from the Airport is by taking the MRT. This is due to the fact that there are two types of MRT trains to Taipei from Taoyuan Airport.

One type of MRT train is called the Commuter while the other is called the Express. Basically, they are the same except that the commuter stops at every single station and so, the journey take longer, approximately an hour.

The Express train to Taipei from Taoyuan Airport only stops at a few stations and takes half an hour to get to Taipei from Taoyuan Airport.

So once you reach the Taoyuan Airport MRT station, load your Easycard and walk to the platform. You may have to wait a few minutes for the Express train.

Once on board, it will not be long before you see the beautiful skyline of Taipei from afar. Finally you will have arrived at Taipei from Taoyuan Airport.
