They’re not just any cars, mind you: this is a procession of some of the coolest vintage, modern, and sports cars from across the country.
Engines rev and rumble through the air, breaking the morning stillness as owners warm up their machines.
Car lovers weave between the vehicles, pausing to take photos of the assembled line-up, which ranged from Alfa Romeos and Mercedes-Benzes to Hondas and Subarus, all gathered in one place.

Welcome to “Wheels and Waffles”, a gathering for local automobile enthusiasts from all over the country.
Over 10,000 people made their way here to admire over 400 beautiful cars, filling the drive-in with steady crowds, camera clicks, and the constant hum of engines and conversation.
The event was organised by A&W Malaysia and local car group The Driverz Club.
“We put ‘Wheels and Waffles’ together on quite short notice, so we are pleasantly surprised to see how well it turned out. The support from everyone has been amazing,” said The Driverz Club founder Tan Kok Ho.
“I think there is definitely a growing love for classic cars here in Malaysia. You can see not just the diversity of cars here, but the diversity of people. Everyone comes together, united for their love of cars.”

Tan said this was part of their quarterly Driverz Assemble events, which aimed to unite classic car lovers from all over the region. They are already planning a 1,000-car Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) gathering for this June.
According to Tan, visitors to the event came as far as Johor and Singapore. One driver even came all the way from Thailand!
Tan also praised the local police for helping to maintain a relatively smooth flow of traffic throughout the event.

Making a surprise appearance at the venue was local car racing legend Karamjit Singh.
“I think this is a fantastic event. There’s been such an impressive turnout of beautiful cars, and it really shows that the classic car culture here is really thriving. I’m a classic car lover myself, so just walking around and admiring everything is great,” Karamjit said.
The event also raised RM6,800 through an ongoing fundraiser so Karamjit can reach Round 2 of the Rallye National de Poya 2026 in New Caledonia next month.
Awards were presented to cars in several categories, including Best Classic, Best 90’s, Biggest Engine, Smallest Engine, and Best Sports Car.

Taking home the Best Sports Car prize was cardiologist Dr Foo Yoke Leong, who turned heads by arriving in a sleek and striking Lotus 2-Eleven.
“I enjoy this car a lot, so winning a prize is a plus point! It handles very well, and is great in every situation, except maybe when it rains!” Foo laughed, referring to the vehicle’s open roof.
This is his first time attending a classic car event, and he affirmed it would definitely not be his last.
“I think old is gold! Somehow there’s a feeling that comes from driving a manual that you can’t find in today’s cars. I hope everyone keeps coming together, and making sure that the love for vintage cars never burns out.”
