According to the report, Griffin was seen being handed over by Szonert’s mother, Kay to Crick’s parents at about 10.30am last Friday, at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
Crick and his son are now reunited in Melbourne, Australia, some 22 days after the boy’s alleged abduction.
It is believed that the boy was cared for by Szonert’s parents for the past three weeks and that he was made to stay in several hotels around Kuala Lumpur to avoid detection by the authorities.
Szonert had taken the child from Crick from a restaurant in Kuala Lumpur on December 10, with the help of two burly men.
Szonert, the former star of popular television series Neighbours, however, did not return to Australia with Griffin right after as it was believed Crick was keeping her passport.
The actress had also been detained for three days by the police when she refused to reveal her son’s whereabouts. She was however, released on the advice of the Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) after a review of the investigation papers.
