KUALA LUMPUR: Police have sought the help of those who witnessed the crash involving a “lorry hantu” (unregistered lorry) which occurred in front of a school in Bandar Damai Perdana, Kajang, last Thursday for information.
Kajang district police chief Willey Richard said police had recorded statements from a few witnesses at the scene, but needed more information to assist investigations.
Two schoolgirls were killed and a woman hawker injured when hit by a van which had been rammed by the lorry in front of the school on Thursday afternoon.
The schoolchildren were Lau Zi Xin and Wong Siow Xuen, both 13.
An Indonesian man was at the wheel of the lorry is in remand for seven days since yesterday to assist in the investigations.
