Among the agencies and companies sponsoring the Perak state team are the Perak Water Board (LAP) which is sponsoring RM3 million and sports equipment company, Al-Ikhsan sponsoring RM500,000.
PAFA president Abdul Puhat Mat Nayan said the sponsorships would inspire the Perak state team to work harder to ensure success for the team this year.
“The Perak team will always endeavour to improve its performance especially in facing the matches during the current Super League season beginning in February,” he said at the PAFA dinner, here last night.
At the function, PAFA also introduced the 22 players for the Perak squad for this season, including three new imports, two of whom are from Uzbekistan namely Vokhid Shodiev and Oybek Kiliche as well as Elias Fernandes de Oliveira from Brazil.
