KUCHING: Sarawak Chief Minister Adenan Satem said today he met with Prime Minister Najib Razak in Kuala Lumpur last night to discuss the 11th state election.

“It was a very good meeting with the prime minister last night. That’s all I can say,” he told reporters after officiating the signing of a power purchase agreement between Sarawak Energy Berhad and Malaysian Phosphate Additives (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd here.

Adenan declined to disclose details of the meeting but said he would make an announcement soon at a press conference.

In an earlier announcement, Adenan had proposed that nomination for the state election be held on April 18 and that polling be held on April 30.

The Election Commission will announce the dates for nomination and polling once the state assembly is dissolved.
