KLIA Ekspress, KLIA Transit increase frequency from Mar 1

Express Rail Link says the increase is to accommodate the needs of air travellers and commuting passengers.

KUALA LUMPUR:
The Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) will increase the frequency of KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit on March 1, 2016 to accommodate the needs of air travellers and commuting passengers.

In a statement, it said that for KLIA Ekspres, the peak hour schedule would be introduced on Sundays for the convenience of business travellers.

Trains will run every 15 minutes during the morning peak hours starting 6.00am to 9.00am and in the evening, peak hours would be from 4.00pm to 10.00pm from Sunday to Friday.

“Trains will run every 20 minutes during off-peak hours while on Saturday, trains will continue to remain on off-peak schedule all day,” said the train service operator which connects KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA & KLIA2) and the city.

Meanwhile for KLIA Transit, ERL said there would be additional services in the morning of weekdays and evening peak hours with trains departing every 20 minutes, equivalent to three services per hour.

The morning peak hours are from 6.00am to 9.00am while the evening peak hours are from 4.00pm to 7.00pm.
