KUALA LUMPUR: The eight crew members in the Royal Malaysian Air Force’s CN235 aircraft, which made an emergency landing near the beach in Kuala Selangor this morning, were flown to Subang RMAF base.

The RMAF said the crew members were flown to the base in an EC725 helicopter which landed at 10.18am.

The crew members were examined upon arrival by a Malaysian Armed Forces medical doctor.

A RMAF statement said efforts were now focusing on retrieving the CN235 from the site.

The RMAF has deployed a special team to the area to control security.

“The RMAF appreciates and thanks the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency and residents in the area for providing initial assistance to the crew,” the statement said.

The CN235 was carrying a crew of eight when it was reported to have made an emergency landing near Batu 2, Kuala Selangor, at 8.50am.
