PETALING JAYA: The widow of private investigator P Balasubramaniam has been given a 48-hour ultimatum to retract her statement discrediting her lawyer and to issue a public apology.
According to a report in The Star Online, Americk Singh Sidhu said he could no longer act as her lawyer if A Santamil Selvi failed to heed the requirements of the ultimatum within the stipulated time.
“She has put me in a very embarrassing position because I am her counsel in current proceedings in the Court of Appeal, High Court and Federal Court,” he said.
Last Saturday, Santamil issued a statement claiming she had received calls from Americk and two others who promised to help her if she agreed to be interviewed by Australian reporters for a documentary.
