In a statement today, the NRD said there was no change to the birth codes for Pahang and that they remained 06, 32 and 33.
The NRD reminded the people to be cautious and not believe such news or announcements and to check with the department.
It cautioned that such an important information involving individual identification should not be the subject of a prank, as it could cause confusion among the people.
The public can visit NRD’s website at www.jpn.gov.my to check the various state birth codes in Malaysia.
