Puspakom chief executive officer Mohammed Shukor Ismail said the inspection was to ensure that vehicles would be in good condition and safe to use on the road.
“During the Hari Raya Aidilfitri festive season last year, 1,500 private vehicle owners had benefited from this service. We aim to check over 2,500 vehicles this year.
“This inspection is to ensure the road worthiness of a vehicle as well as to enable the owners to identify any problems that might pose a danger to driver, passenger and other road users,” he said in a statement today.
He said the vehicle inspection would cover a comprehensive 25-level check, including emission test, side slip test, suspension, tinted glass and brake.
He added that vehicle owners could visit Puspakom branches from 8am to 5pm daily (according to branch operating hours) without having to wait or make prior appointment.
