Petaling Jaya District Police Chief ACP Zani Che Din said police received an emergency call on the bomb threat at 12.30pm today from the auxiliary police at the college.
Subsequently, a bomb unit from the Selangor Contingent Police Headquarters was rushed to the location and after an inspection of the areas surrounding the college had found no suspicious object.
He said the first call was received by college worker V Tamarai Manggai, 25, from a man who did not identify himself, informing that “Your college got bomb, student put the bomb”.
“Subsequently, the person (Tamarai) informed the college’s auxiliary police and a team from the Selangor Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK) bomb unit and the K9 tracker dog unit from the Kuala Lumpur IPK were deployed to the scene of the incident.
“The police evacuated the 1,600 students and staff of the college to a safe place. However, an inspection found no suspicious object (near the building).”
