“Mahathir should explain in detail what he meant by saying that (Prime Minister) Najib Razak was being racist.

“Under Mahathir’s administration, were there other races appointed as secretary-general in any ministry?

“However, under Najib, other races are given the opportunity to become a ministry secretary-general.

“In fact, all government aides are appointed irrespective of race or religion,” Mustapha told theSundaily today.

The news portal said Mustapha was upset over Mahathir’s comment in The Economist that Najib was dividing Muslims and non-Muslims.

The Umno veteran further hit out at Mahathir for taking over DAP’s role by attacking Umno and its leadership.

“Is he now DAP’s new spokesman?”

He was also surprised that Mahathir, who had never believed in foreign news wires during his time as prime minister, was now using these same agencies to attack Najib and Umno.
