PETALING JAYA:
The widow of murdered businessman Ong Teik Kwong, who was gunned down by his bodyguard in the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway rampage two weeks ago, visited the families of two other victims and handed out cash donations to them.

Sin Chew Daily reported yesterday that Vivian Cheow visited the families of florist M Senthil and professional clown Choi Hon Ming, both of whom were killed in the shooting incident. She also later paid a visit to the family of RTM cameraman Muhamad Amirul Amin Amir, who sustained serious injuries.

Cheow presented Senthil’s widow, L Thatchayani, a donation of RM3,000 on behalf of her husband’s charity foundation, Persatuan Kebajikan Amal CK One.

She allegedly told Thatchayani that she was currently coping with her own husband’s death and encouraged the woman “to be strong too”.

Cheow told reporters later that her late husband had set up the foundation to help the needy and that she would continue his work.

Accompanying her yesterday was Lim Boon Leng, who was injured in the incident. He also presented a RM1,000 donation to Thatchayani.

Later Cheow visited Choi’s fiance Sun Siew Chin at Ayer Hitam.

The daily reported that when the two met, they hugged each other and pledged to carry on with their lives despite the loss of their respective partners. Cheow donated RM3,000 to Choi’s family.

She also met Amirul’s sister and mother at the Penang Hospital and handed them RM2,000.

Ong was shot by his bodyguard while they were in a car together along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu expressway on Dec 1.

After killing Ong, the bodyguard fired off several rounds, killing two others and injuring five.

The bodyguard was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained as investigations are underway.
