
Tampin police chief Supt Hamazah Ab Razak said the husband and wife, aged 33 and 30 respectively, were picked up during a raid at their house in Pulau Sebang, Alor Gajah, Melaka at 2pm.

“The suspects then took police to some bushes in Pulau Sebang, where (they) dumped the stolen items.
“We seized a Proton Wira car, belonging to their relative, which had been used by the suspects. We will also record statements from the car owner,” he said in a statement here today.

Also seized were a waist pouch, two MyKad, two driving licences, two wallets, two ATM cards, two copies of motorcyle road tax and a slip of a learner’s driving licence, all of which belong to their victims.
The duo tested positive for Methadone, and had admitted to have been involved in the case.
The case is being investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code which provides a maximum imprisonment of seven years, or fine, or both, if convicted.
