25 detained over killing of 5 Myanmars

Police say however that no weapons were seized and no motive determined as yet for the killings.

Twenty-five men have been arrested to help investigate the killing of five Myanmars at the Sri Serdang Industrial Area here earlier this month.

Selangor CID chief SAC Fadzil Ahmat said those arrested were Myanmars and locals who worked at the industrial area, aged between 20 and 50.

“The case is still under investigation and we believe it can be solved soon.

“So far no weapon has been seized and the motive has yet to be determined,” he told reporters after witnessing the disposal of seized gambling machines at the Serdang district police headquarters here today.

He said the two injured in the incident were in stable condition.

On Jan 6, five Myanmars were killed and two others seriously injured in a fight that broke out in the industrial area. It is believed a parang was used.

Earlier, Selangor police disposed of 1,312 computer units modified as gambling machines, worth RM140,000, that were seized last year.
