KUALA LUMPUR:
Four men, including a Kuala Lumpur City Hall enforcement worker, now risk being jailed up to two years and fined for alleged rioting and assaulting a lorry driver at a condominium here two weeks ago.

The four, together with two others still at large, are said to have committed the offence for the alleged rioting and assaulting of Nasrul, 25, near the Kondominium Puncak Anthenaeuma security post January 14.

Magistrate Mohamad Izwan Mohamed Nor fixed bail at RM4,000 for each of the accused.

Government lawyer Ahmad Zuhaini Mahamad Amin prosecuted while the four were represented by Badrul Syah Syafiq.

In the same court, Vigneswaran was slapped with another charge of injuring Nepalese, B K Shyam, 26, at the same place and time.

He pleaded not guilty to the offence which carries a jail term of up to one year or fine up to RM2,000, or both, upon conviction.

Mohamad Izwan offered Vigneswaran RM2,000 bail and the magistrate fixed for both cases to be mentioned on March 7.
