After graduating from the Ayer Molek Mara Professional College in Malacca last year armed with a diploma in finance, he applied the computer game technique and now makes house calls to cut his clients’ hair for only RM2.
He said he was attracted to the business technique in the computer game, which in turn prompted him to adopt the idea so he could raise enough funds to open a barber shop.
“To start a business, we have to be different and this home haircut service I’m offering is not just to make money, but at the same time to help the elderly and the sick, who find it difficult to go to the barber shop.
“It is also for charity as I am only charging RM2 per person, but many of my customers pay more than that. They say it’s for my petrol,” he said.
The second of six siblings, Hafidz said he learned the art of hair-cutting from friends and through YouTube.
“Alhamdulillah, my customers are satisfied with my service,” he said, adding that the haircut service provided him with an income of about RM700 a month.
