
In a posting on her Facebook account today, Nurul Najihah said her fiance Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim, 24, who is with the Fire and Rescue Department’s Emergency Medical Response Service (EMRS) is safe and asked the public to pray for him.
The posting has since been shared more than 800 times by the public, with most netizens praying that he has a speedy recovery.
“In an earlier posting, Nurul Najihah uploaded her status which read “You are strong. Wake up soon @Muhammad Adib. Pray for my fiance … I am not strong, looking at you like this,” she said.
In the incident early this morning, Adib was believed to have been attacked by rioters during an operation to put out the fires on several vehicles outside the temple.
Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin said Adib who was initially unconscious is now on life support.
She said he suffered multiple injuries including broken ribs.
Adib who is from Kedah, is due to get married next month.
