Its vice president Ti Lian Ker said this was because national and local issues were a bigger concern for the Chinese voters.
“And this includes Pakatan Harapan’s administration and the unfulfilled promises in Pakatan’s election manifesto, of which they are unhappy about” he said at a press conference in Brinchang here today.
Also present was BN candidate Ramli Mohd Nor.
Ti was asked if PAS’ decision to help in the BN campaign would erode the Chinese community’s support for it.
He claimed that the Chinese voters he met never raise the issue of BN’s cooperation with PAS and had only complained about the PH administration.
Ti also said that MCA had no qualms with the Islamist party helping BN in the polls.
“This is a democratic country and anyone can campaign in any election, for any party or any candidate,” he said.
Last night, PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang shared the stage with BN leaders at a ceramah at Felda Sungai Koyan.
