PETALING JAYA:
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has completed its investigation into the political secretary of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Salahuddin Ayub for allegedly accepting a bribe in the form of a luxury watch worth about RM28,000.

MACC chief Latheefa Koya said investigation papers were now with the Attorney-General’s Chambers for further action.

The suspect, Ahmad Sabki Yusof, 47, was arrested last April.

He allegedly accepted the watch as an inducement to enable a project developer to be awarded projects under the ministry’s purview.

Ahmad Sabki was released by the Putrajaya Magistrate’s Court after being remanded for three days to assist in the investigation.

Magistrate Noraisyah Mohd Yusof ordered his release on MACC bail of RM10,000 in one surety.
