KUALA LUMPUR: Police are investigating a rally attended by some 70 people in Kuala Lumpur in solidarity with the Hong Kong protest movement.
Police spokesman Mohamad Fahmi Visuvanathan Abdullah told AFP that the protest leaders had failed to notify the authorities about the rally.
“The organisers will be called (for questioning) in the near future,” he said.
Under the Peaceful Assembly Act, police must be notified 10 days before a gathering.
