
Eighty-five of those held were issued compound fines and the rest remanded.
In a statement, Senior Minister for Security Ismail Sabri Yaakob said they were caught for failing to wear face masks, breaching physical distancing rules, being involved in pub or nightclub activities and for operating businesses beyond approved hours.
Other offences included failing to record the details of customers and failing to show proof of permission to leave a targeted enhanced movement control order (TEMCO) area.
Meanwhile, border control teams detained 66 illegal immigrants and four smugglers yesterday, seizing 14 vehicles, he said.
Regarding the mandatory home quarantine, he said 30,717 people who arrived through KLIA were screened for Covid-19 from July 24 to Sept 18.
He added that 71 people were sent to the hospital for treatment, while 20,893 were allowed to return home during this period.
A total of 9,753 individuals are currently undergoing mandatory quarantine at 78 government institutes.
