PETALING JAYA:
IKEA Damansara said it will be closed today after being informed yesterday that one of its part-time workers was suspected to be Covid-19 positive.

In a statement today, the store said the worker — whose last day at work was Oct 30 — was currently under the care of health authorities and was waiting to be tested.

“The health, safety and overall well-being of our workers, customers, partners and community are our top priorities,” said IKEA Damansara in a statement.

“As a proactive precautionary measure, our store will be closed on Nov 7 (today) to undergo sanitisation and deep cleaning, in accordance with the health ministry’s standards.”

The store will resume operations tomorrow.
