Man found with multiple stab wounds in Bangsar dies

Police say the victim, in his 30s, did not have any personal documents on him.

Police received a call about the incident at Jalan Bangsar at about 5.40am.
PETALING JAYA:
A man died after he was found injured and unconscious with multiple stab wounds in Bangsar early this morning.

Police have classified the case as murder.

Brickfields police chief Zairulnizam Mohd Zainuddin said police received a call informing them of an incident at Jalan Bangsar at about 5.40am.

At the scene, a University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) ambulance staff confirmed that the man, in his 30s, had died. He did not have any identification papers on him.

“Forensic investigation at the scene found that the victim had several injuries on various parts of his body believed to be from a sharp object,” Zairulnizam said in a statement.

The body was sent to UMMC for autopsy.

He said police were working to identify the man’s next of kin and his background, and urged those with information to contact the Brickfields district police headquarters at 03-22979222.
