LHDN says it does not have TikTok account

The board urges people to be responsible when posting on social media.

The Inland Revenue Board says it has lodged a police report to ‘prevent its identity from being abused’.
PUTRAJAYA:
The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) has denied that it has a TikTok account after it went viral on social media.

In a statement, it said in addition to its official portal www.hasil.gov.my, it only has social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

It said it has lodged a police report and will follow it up with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission soon “to prevent IRB’s identity from being further abused”.

“IRB wishes to advise members of the public to be alert and be responsible in posting on social media,” it said.
