PETALING JAYA:
Perak PKR deputy chief MA Tinagaran has been remanded for six days, according to a PKR source.
MA Tinagaran.

He said the case was heard in the Putrajaya magistrates’ court just before lunch.

“Tinagaran has been arrested by MACC and is now under a six-day remand to assist in a probe,” the source told FMT.

The source said PKR was concerned about Tinagaran’s health as he suffers from high blood pressure.

“His blood pressure went up to 171 last night when a medical test was done,” he added.

Yesterday, Tinagaran was arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). A car was also seized along with some cash.

Perak PKR chief Farhash Wafa hoped the investigations by MACC will not have any outside interference.

He further asked all parties to be calm and not to draw any conclusions.
