Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador said they were arrested for various offences including money laundering.
Police also seized 16 luxury vehicles – including a Rolls Royce and five Alphards – and foreign currency worth over RM7 million, in 70 raids conducted between March 20 and March 28.
Also seized were a pistol and 40 bullets.
Hamid also said police were still tracking Liow, who is believed to still be in the country.
The 33-year-old suspect, who is the founder of the Winner Dynasty Group, is believed to be linked to syndicates involved in various scams.
Hamid said Liow had 12 cases, including drug-related offences, on his criminal record.
Liow was also arrested for assaulting two Rela personnel in 2017, but was acquitted and discharged in 2019 after the victims agreed to a settlement.
Hamid went on to say that police also froze 41 bank accounts with a total of RM4.49 million and seized 35 vehicles worth RM8.8 million linked to 21 individuals and 16 entities, including “Pertubuhan Integriti Nicky Liow Malaysia”.
“We are in the midst of freezing other assets, including plots of land, a house and a building.”
He said investigations showed that the Winner Dynasty Group and Liow are suspected of having ties to international triad leader “Wan Kouk Koi” or “Broken Tooth”.
Last week, Johor police chief Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said Liow’s last known address was Trigon Residence, Puchong.
Liow is wanted for investigation under Sections 130 V to 130 ZB of the Penal Code for organised crimes.
