
In a statement, he said three of them were workplace clusters, two from detention centres and the remaining two were from the community and an educational institution.
Two clusters were detected in Sarawak, while Kuala Lumpur, Pahang, Sabah, Negeri Sembilan and Selangor all had one cluster each.

Clusters that recorded the most cases today were from Jalan Puncak Borneo (315), Jalan Bambangan (99) and DTI Sandakan (55).
The new clusters are:
Sarawak:
- Jalan Sultan Iskandar – a workplace cluster in Bintulu. The index case tested positive on April 7 through a screening of symptomatic persons. The cluster involves a public educational institution on Jalan Sultan Iskandar. A total of 440 people were screened, with 27 found positive.
- Jepak – a community cluster in Bintulu. The index case tested positive on April 8 through a screening of symptomatic persons. The cluster involves a social gathering that took place on April 3 in Kampung Jepak. A total of 402 people were screened, with 50 found positive.
Selangor:
- Jalan Balakong – a workplace cluster in Hulu Langat. Positive cases were reported on March 25 after a targeted screening on workers at a company on Jalan Balakong, Seri Kembangan. A total of 29 people were screened, with 19 found positive.
Kuala Lumpur:
- Jalan Kia Peng – a workplace cluster involving Lembah Pantai, Kepong and Cheras. The index case tested positive on April 13 through a screening of symptomatic individuals. The cluster involves an entertainment centre on Jalan Kia Peng. Eighteen people were screened, with eight found positive.
Sabah:
- DTI Sandakan – a cluster at a detention centre in Sandakan. Positive cases were reported on April 16 after a targeted screening on detainees at DTI Sandakan. A total of 641 people were screened, with 55 found positive.
Negeri Sembilan:
- DTI Lenggeng – a cluster at a detention centre involving Seremban and Port Dickson. Positive cases were reported on April 10 after a targeted screening on detainees at DTI Lenggeng in Kampung Solok, Lenggeng. A total of 181 people were screened, with 70 found positive.
Pahang:
- Sri Layang – a cluster involving staff at an educational institution in Sri Layang, Bentong. The index case tested positive on April 11 through a screening of symptomatic persons. A total of 420 people were screened, with 16 found positive.
