The matter was confirmed by the woman’s lawyer, Asheeq Ali Sethi Alivi.
Asheeq said his client gave a statement to the police for over one hour from 10.30am and submitted various pieces of evidence needed for the investigation.
He added this was the third time his client had been called by the police to give a statement on the rape case.
The first time was on the same day the report was made, on Dec 5, 2020, followed by a second time in March.
He said his client initially withdrew her report made on Dec 5. However, she lodged a second report on May 8 to include details of the alleged intimidation.
“We have submitted all the evidence that can help the police to complete the investigation.
“I hope the police can speed up and complete the investigation and charge the individuals involved in this case,” he told FMT.
