
Six localities in Kelantan will be placed under the Aug 14-27 EMCO.
Apart from Kampung Kubang Sawa in Tumpat, Kampung Chenerai, Kampung Lubok Kawah, Kampung Pohon Tanjong, Kampung Pak Jak and Kampung Landar in Pasir Mas will also be under lockdown.
Five localities in Sabah will be under EMCO – Taman Puri Warisan (Kota Kinabalu), Kampung Pengiran (Sipitang), Kampung Wokok Kinuta (Kota Belud), Bumi Timber Sdn Bhd factory and its workers’ quarters as well as Kosinar Sdn Bhd and its workers’ quarters (Keningau).
In Pahang, Kampung Bongkok in the Bera district and Kampung Gadak in the Rompin district will also be placed under EMCO.
The Sri Datai Mining Sdn Bhd workers’ quarters in Mukah, Sarawak, will also be under lockdown.
Hishammuddin also announced an extension of the EMCO at the Amber Court apartment and the Grand Ion Delemen construction site in Genting Highlands, Pahang, as well as Kampung Wek Batu 23 in Machang, Kelantan. Originally set to end tomorrow, it has been extended to Aug 27.
Taman Desa Bidara in Baling, Kedah, and Kampung Gambaron 2 in Telupid, Sabah, will see similar extensions.
Meanwhile, the EMCO at several localities across the country is set to end tomorrow as scheduled.
This applies to eight localities in Sabah: Kampung Lembah Permai and Kampung Pugi Gunsapou, Ranau; Kampung Bayangan and Kampung Purakagis, Keningau; Kampung Marintaman and Sabah Forest Industry (SFI) housing in Sipitang; Kampung Tembidong-Bidong, Telupid; and Kampung Airport Lama, Tawau.
In Perak, four localities in the Perak Tengah district will also see the EMCO lifted tomorrow. They are Kampung Biak Hilir (Bandar subdistrict) and Kampung Biak Darat, Kampung Biak Baroh and a part of Kampung Pasir Salak (Pasir Salak subdistrict).
In Kelantan, the EMCO at Kampung Lubok Stol in Rantau Panjang will come to an end tomorrow.
Other areas which will see the EMCO lifted tomorrow are: Felda Sungai Koyan 3 in Lipis (Pahang); Kampung Padang Kubu in Kemaman (Terengganu); and Kampung Seratau in Kuching (Sarawak).
Meanwhile, the SOP compliance task force ordered 60 premises to close yesterday for failing to comply with SOPs.
Hishammuddin also said 256 people were arrested yesterday over MCO-related offences, with 219 issued compound fines and 37 remanded.
