“How are the sample case results not out yet and are still pending at 32 cases after 15 days? It does not make sense because test results only take less than an hour.
“If you look at the health ministry’s diagram, (the numbers) on other clusters change daily based on day-to-day screening results but not for Primula hotel,” Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah said in a statement today.
The Terengganu Amanah chairman added that to date, no fines or compounds have been imposed on the state-owned hotel for allowing it to continue operating although 35 employees had tested positive for the virus.

Raja Kamarul said other private hotels only needed a few Covid-19 positive employees to be instructed to close immediately, some receiving hefty fines, but not Primula hotel, which seemed to have “real immunity”.
“At a time when the government wants to reopen the tourism sector, transparency is very important, especially to gain the confidence of the public as Primula is a flagship five-star hotel owned by the government,” he said.
Raja Kamarul urged the government to be open on this issue and not threaten the safety of tourists and visitors.
It was previously reported that Primula hotel had been ordered to close for 14 days until Sept 18.
Hotel employees breathed a sigh of relief following the hotel’s temporary closure but claimed many cases had been detected there since August but the closure notice was only issued on Sept 5.
