
The death toll now stands at 29,256.
Twelve of the deaths were classified as brought-in-dead (BID) cases.
Sarawak recorded the highest number of fatalities again with 18, followed by Sabah and Selangor (7 each), Pahang (5), Terengganu (4), Johor, Kedah and Kelantan (3 each), Perak (2) and Melaka and Kuala Lumpur (1 each).
There were no deaths in Negeri Sembilan, Labuan and Putrajaya.
As of midnight last night, there were 65,505 active cases, including 544 in intensive care units (ICU), 280 of whom require respiratory assistance.
There were also 5,382 recoveries reported, bringing the total number of those discharged to 2,407,205.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia now stands at 2,501,966.
