45 Covid-19 deaths reported

This brings the total number of fatalities to 29,937.

PETALING JAYA:
The health ministry reported 45 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, according to its GitHub database.

Of the total, seven were classified as brought-in-dead (BID). The death toll now stands at 29,937.

Most of the fatalities were recorded in Sabah with 15 deaths, followed by Selangor (7), Kedah (5), Sarawak (4), Kelantan (4), Penang (3), Negeri Sembilan (2), Pahang (2), Kuala Lumpur (1), Melaka (1), and Perlis (1).

There were no deaths reported in Johor, Perak, Terengganu, Labuan and Putrajaya.

As of midnight, there were 68,637 active cases including 542 in intensive care units (ICU), 268 of whom require respiratory assistance.

There were also 5,031 recoveries reported.

The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 2,575,888.
