Most of the fatalities were recorded in Sabah with nine deaths followed by Penang (6), Kelantan (4), Johor (4), Perak (3), Negeri Sembilan (3) Terengganu (3), Pahang (2), Selangor (1) and Perlis (1).
There were no deaths in Kuala Lumpur, Sarawak, Melaka, Kedah, Putrajaya and Labuan..
As of midnight, there were 62,668 active cases including 490 in intensive care units (ICU), 269 of whom require respiratory assistance.
There were also 4,678 recoveries reported.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 2,654,474.
