
The ministry also reported 32,070 new cases, comprising 31,861 local cases and 209 imported cases.
The death toll now stands at 32,534.
Seventeen of the deaths were classified as brought-in-dead (BID) cases.
Johor and Kedah reported eight deaths each, followed by Pahang and Sabah (7 each), Selangor (6), Perak and Penang (3 each), Terengganu (2) and Kelantan and Negeri Sembilan (1 each).
There were no deaths in the other states and federal territories.
As of midnight, there were 286,521 active cases, with 8,039 hospitalised. Of this, 327 were in intensive care units (ICU), 201 of whom require respiratory assistance.
There were also 23,332 recoveries.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 3,337,227.
