
The death toll now stands at 35,099.
According to the ministry’s GitHub database, there were 12,390 new cases, compared with 14,692 a day before. They comprised 11,918 local cases and 462 imported cases.
Of the 30 deaths, 11 were classified as brought-in-dead (BID) cases.
Kedah and Perak recorded seven deaths each, followed by Kelantan and Selangor (3 each), Pahang and Penang (2 each) and Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Sarawak, Terengganu and Kuala Lumpur (1 each).
There were no deaths reported in Perlis, Sabah, Labuan and Putrajaya.
As of midnight, there were 192,947 active cases, with 3,682 people hospitalised. Of this, 233 were in intensive care units (ICU), with 157 requiring respiratory assistance.
There were also 20,635 recoveries recorded.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 4,246,467.
