
PETALING JAYA: Perikatan Nasional (PN) is set to form the next state government in Perlis, according to a report in Berita Harian.
The Malay daily said according to unofficial results, the coalition has passed the threshold to form the state government by winning over 10 state seats.
If confirmed, this would be the first time that Barisan Nasional has lost power in the state since independence.
The Umno-led coalition won the state in the 14th general election by winning 10 state seats. Umno won 9 seats, while MCA won one.
