Muhyiddin’s elder brother dies

He says his brother, Abdul Aziz, had helped him a lot during his younger days.

Abdul Aziz Yassin had served as Umno MP for Muar, from 1995 to 1999, and was also the first deputy chairman of the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority.
PETALING JAYA:
The elder brother of former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin, Abdul Aziz, died at the age of 90 today.

Astro Awani reported that he died of old age.

In a short Facebook post, Muhyiddin, 75, described his brother as a supportive man who had helped him a lot during his younger days.

“May God bless him, forgive his sins and place him among the righteous ones. Al Fatihah,” he said.

Aziz was a former one-term Umno MP for Muar, from 1995 to 1999.

He also previously served as the first deputy chairman of the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama), when it was established in 1965.
