PETALING JAYA: Sandakan police are investigating a policeman for potential wrongdoing after a video showing him receiving something from another man made the rounds on social media.
However, it was unclear from the 16-second clip what was handed to the policeman.
Sandakan police chief Fuad Malek said the matter has been referred to the integrity and standards compliance division.
“Investigations are being conducted to determine whether there was any wrongdoing by the policeman.
“If there is proof (of wrongdoing), we will not hesitate to take action against the policeman and the other person in the video,” he said in a statement.
