
“I will also arrange a meeting with Syarikat Air Johor to develop a transparent monitoring system for scheduling pipe replacements or repairs,” he said in his manifesto unveiled today.
Mazri said engagement with relevant authorities regarding the affordable housing placement plan is also part of his commitment.
“I will promote investments from housing developers who use innovative construction methods to expedite the production of affordable homes,” he said.
Mazri also said he is committed to organising dialogues with youth associations and sports enthusiast groups to address the requirements for sports and recreation.
He said he will set up a youth talent tracking programme covering a wide range of disciplines, including sports, technical and vocational training, and entrepreneurship.
Mazri’s manifesto also includes the establishment of a centre for persons with disabilities, in collaboration with federal agencies, and the development of a fitness action plan.
The by-election for the Simpang Jeram state seat, to be held on Saturday, will see a three-cornered contest, with Mazri taking on Pakatan Harapan’s Nazri Abdul Rahman and independent S Jeganathan.
The Simpang Jeram state seat and the Pulai parliamentary seat were left vacant following the death of Amanah deputy president Salahuddin Ayub on July 23.
