Elderly Chinese national found near MRR2 after going missing at KLCC

PETALING JAYA:
The elderly Chinese national who went missing at the Suria KLCC shopping mall was found yesterday evening near the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2).

Dang Wangi police chief Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman said 84-year-old Xu Baolin was found at the side of the MRR2 by a member of the public with scratches on his face and in a weak state.

He said Xu is currently being treated in hospital and that investigations are ongoing. Police will record the statements of the victim and doctor who treated him.

“The reason he went missing is still being investigated. The victim’s statement will be recorded once his condition stabilises,” Sulizmie said in a statement.

Xu was reported missing on Monday morning after he was last seen at the second floor of the Suria KLCC shopping mall’s food court. He was there with his family members when he went missing.

He is in Malaysia as a tourist with his family and is supposed to return to China on Dec 17.
