In a Harian Metro report, JPJ senior enforcement director Kifli Ma Hassan said they were questioned at the department’s headquarters in Putrajaya yesterday.
He said JPJ is currently preparing the investigation papers related to the case before referring it to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to determine if there is any misconduct or abuse of power.
JPJ conducted a nationwide surprise inspection on Puspakom on Monday to ensure that all vehicles it inspected complied with the required standards.
Kifli said JPJ inspected 115 trucks, issued 69 summonses and seized seven vehicles during the operation.
JPJ also detected several violations committed by truck drivers, including the use of retreaded tyres that were worn-out and could potentially explode.
