MAHB to be delisted from Bursa Malaysia on Feb 25

Bursa Malaysia suspended the trading of MAHB shares today in preparation for the company’s delisting from the main market.

PETALING JAYA:
Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) will be officially delisted from Bursa Malaysia next Tuesday (Feb 25).

In a bourse filing, the company announced that its entire issued share capital would be removed from the exchange’s official list at 9am, in accordance with Paragraph 16.07(a) of the Main Market Listing Requirements.

Trading of MAHB shares was suspended today, and all five of its independent non-executive directors have resigned ahead of the delisting.

Gateway Development Alliance Sdn Bhd (GDA) succeeded in getting enough shares to delist and take MAHB private on Jan 28.

GDA is a consortium comprising Khazanah, EPF, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and BlackRock-owned Global Infrastructure Partners.

MAHB manages 39 airports throughout Malaysia, including five international airports, 17 domestic airports, and 17 STOLports (short take-off and landing airports).
