The 16-year-old entered his guilty plea in the Batu Bahat magistrates’ court, Berita Harian reported.
The other two accused, who are also students, aged 16 and 15, claimed trial after the charge was read separately to them before magistrate Arun Noval Das.
They were charged with molesting the 14-year-old girl behind a building at Tongkang Pechah in Batu Pahat at 10pm on March 27.
The court allowed the two who claimed trial to be released on RM1,500 bail each and set May 13 for the submission of reports, mention, and appointment of counsel.
In the same court, one of the teens also pleaded not guilty to a charge of raping a 15-year-old girl.
The accused, together with a 17-year-old friend who had pleaded guilty earlier, was charged with gang-raping the victim between 10pm and 11.59pm at a house in the district on Oct 29 last year.
The court also set bail at RM1,500 and fixed May 13 for submission of documents and appointment of a defence counsel.
Deputy public prosecutor Firdaus Ruslan handled the prosecution, while the three accused were represented by lawyer Tan Song Yan, who was assisted by Tan Fong Ling.
